Club – Royal RFC Schaumburg

Royal Rugby Football Club Schaumburg was founded in 2018. It is the first rugby club in the district of Schaumburg and the only one within 40 km.

People of all ages are warmly invited to come along and get to know our varied sport. Alongside training and matches, we work with local councils, nurseries and schools to make rugby better known.

Everything we do is guided by four values: respect, solidarity, diversity and passion.

2018The club is founded, the men's team plays its first league season, new home in Nordsehl

2025Partnership agreement with Kendal RUFC, first all-Schaumburg women's team in sevens competition, women's debut in the Bundesliga (15-a-side)

Integration durch Sport (Integration through Sport)

Recognised base club

We are a recognised base club in the “Integration durch Sport” (Integration through Sport) programme. Everyone is welcome at our club – whatever their background, language or experience. Together with the LandesSportBund Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony Sports Federation), we work to make sure that sport brings people together.
